Twitter Weekly Updates for2009-04-26
This week I found out what Follow Friday means. But I did not participate – maybe next week I will join in the FF festivities. I was not as active on Twitter as last week, but there are still some great resources (among other things!) I would like to share (with my comments in brackets, again). Click on the # mark to see the original tweet, . . . I think
- RT: @Topher: I voted. Did U? More people prefer to attend either a Mega Church or a House Church. http://twtpoll.com/jkihye # (Click on the link to view the poll results and vote as well! )
- “With a long enough teeter-totter, you can lift a sumo wrestler off the ground.” from Tribes by Seth Godin p. 36 # (I am reading Tribes and participating (or “piggy-backing may be a more appropriate term here) in a group blogging project. I learned about this “daily devotional” from David Norman.)
- NT Wright on YouTube talking about heaven http://tinyurl.com/d6atq9 #(N.T. Wright’s work on “heaven” is fascinating and potentially life-altering.)
- Coffee wars in Canada http://tinyurl.com/ccq443 # (I hope to get at least one free coffee from this – even if it is from McD’s!)
- A book about The Shack! http://tinyurl.com/c5s99p #
- RT @Sojourners: Did you read @eugenecho ’s blog on godspolitics? Making UR Church More Multicultural:http://tinyurl.com/cgc53d. Be sure … #
- and . . . “Born Again,” A Murderous Shibboleth http://tinyurl.com/dkt6vq #
- The “Born Again” Shibboleth by Brian Walsh http://tinyurl.com/ca7zfv #
(Would you call yourself “Born Again”? Why do you do that when the phrase is only found once in the entire Bible? Is there more harm than benefit to calling yourself “Born Again”? I have not used the term to describe myself or my faith for a number of years now and after reading Brian’s post, I now know why! (Have you ever held convictions or made a decision about something and not been able to explain exactly why? – That was me before reading.) Check it out!)
- An evangelical dialogue on evolution – FREE Ebook http://tinyurl.com/dayal6 # (It’s free! Go see for yourself!)
- An Easter sermon from N.T. Wright (2009) http://tinyurl.com/c93rll
