   Thanks for sharing this video. I’m glad to find your blog – and I’m guessing there’s a Canadian connection here too (I’m from Winterpeg). I’ve recently been questioning if Scripture supports the idea that the wicked are punished in Hell forever – I compiled a bunch of verses on my blog. I’ll post this video soon too. Thanks.    Hi Jon, thanks for dropping by. I will go visit your blog after I write this comment. Winterpeg! Isn’t that the home of Winnie-the-Pooh? I think questioning our interpretations of Scripture is always a healthy practice. Regarding this topic, I have done some reading recently on annihilation theory. John Stott once wrote that the Bible leaves room for other theories of hell than what has been traditionally understood. One thing I liked about the theory (not that I think it is THE answer, yet) is that the term “eternal life” takes on a more literal meaning when those who are not part of the kingdom are simply annihilated at the end of their earthly lives. (Just some more food for thought.) Oh, and I also wondered if The Shack was written with that perspective in mind but after listening to several interviews with Paul Young, I am not sure that is what he had in mind when he talked about divine punishment in his book.
